Theoris Services was invited to attend Ethicon Endo-Surgery’s Picnic Day at Taylor’s Academy. Ethel M. Taylor Academy is an elementary school serving Pre-K through 6th-grade students in the Millvale, South Cumminsville, Camp Washington and North Fairmount neighborhoods. Taylor acts as a hub for community services, providing access for students and families to health, safety, and social services, as well as recreational, educational and cultural opportunities.
Employees from Ethicon and Theoris Services provided lunch to the children, and then an afternoon of games and craft projects. The kids were able to decorate flower pots for Mother’s Day, create bead bracelets, and build and race small boats. We also led fun games of Red Light / Green Light, Sharks & Minnows, and Team Corn Hole. All the children and volunteers had a great time and were blessed with a beautiful sunny day. This is the 5th year for Ethicon to volunteer with Taylor’s Academy, and the first year for Theoris Services but we are already planning on attending next year.
