- Project Business Case: The company must achieve the CMMI (Capable Maturity Model Integration), Maturity Level 3 by July 2024. The Capability Maturity Model Integration is a process improvement, training, and appraisal program required by many U.S. Government contracts, especially software development contracts.
- Project Objective: The CMMI initiative began in early 2023 to support the government contract award. Under the contract’s requirements, the customer must achieve CMMI (Maturity Level 3) Version 3.0 by July 2024.
- Project Benefits: The client meets the US Government contract requirements for CMMI-Dev, ML-3.
Challenges:
Resources and teams changed during the creation and implementation of ML-3 processes. Previous training and processes needed to be more suitable for rolling ML-2 practices into ML-3 solutions.
